The Only Way is George
Welcome to this quirky little coffee shop nestling in the central business district of Bristol. We have been around in Victoria Street since 2000 relaunching in 2004 under new ownership. I really wanted to introduce an interesting and more fulfilling coffee experience to the vast aray of couldn’t-care-less chain shops popping up on every street corner in our land. I love coffee and I enjoy chatting to people – opening a shop seemed the logical thing to do!
I grew up on a farm in Essex (not far from where we get our jam) so i’ve always enjoyed playing with heavy machinery. We run two two-group rancillio coffee machines in the shop, and they are full of personality. I chose our blend of beans back in 2004 and we haven’t changed it since. Recently we’ve started running a few guest blends to satisfy the taste for a fruitier shot, but we always have our signature bean in pride of place.
We have always aimed to provide a good value and high quality product delivered by a professional member of the team. Balancing the speed of high street service with exacting standards isn’t easy, and we probably don’t always get it right, but we’re really lucky to have a core of loyal (and patient) customers who keep coming back for more.
